Description of the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Senior Management Team, playing a vital role in developing and overseeing the implementation of strategic and operational objectives, standards, and policies in all matters relating to human resources, while fostering and demonstrating a commitment to an inclusive and diverse workplace culture where everyone is valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in provincial initiatives and implement as required (i.e. core competencies)
• Provide high-level of guidance, expertise and participation in employment situations
• Supervise office administration employees and oversee office operations
• Develop, oversee and participate in recruitment, hiring and retention strategies
• Participate in employee selection, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and onboarding activities
• Develop and implement employee training plans, including health and safety initiatives
• Administration of benefit plan and maintenance of employee insurance records
• Maintain confidential and accurate personnel files and related documentation
• Develop, review, update agency policies/job descriptions, as required
• Ensure management, storage and distribution of forms and policies on IT system
• Collect and report on HR metrics, including employee satisfaction surveys
• Provide support to the JHSC and responsible for WSIB claims, and RTW programs
• Chair and lead activities of the Employee Engagement Committee
• Attend HR conferences, training and development courses

Education Requirements
• Post secondary diploma/degree in business or social services with specialization in human resources or labour relations • CHRP designation, completed or in progress

Base Salary
Starting at $39.37/hour CAD
