Description of the role

Bethesda’s Adult Clinical Services requires one (1) Full Time Behaviour Technician. Working to promote Bethesda’s Vison, Mission and Values, and quality client care, the Behaviour Technician will work within community agencies residential services to provide consultation to individuals, their families, care providers, and direct staff mediators. . This position will provide support to the Niagara community.

Some of the key responsibilities of this position will be: (this is not a comprehensive list)
 Complete intake meetings
 Develop and facilitate training for caregivers within community agencies including coaching, and mentoring
 In collaboration with caregivers develop PSPS and monitor implementation
 Consult with Consulting Psychologist and/or Behaviour Consultant
 Complete, environmental assessment and other evaluation assessments.
 Develop data sheets, adherence checklists and assist with PSPS revisions as needed.
 Facilitate skill building groups
 Prepare Visual Resources
 Report to the Clinical Manager on open case
 Complete and present progress reports to the multidisciplinary team

Education Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following:  Minimum of a Bachelor Degree required  Education and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis is required  A minimum of 1 year of experience working with adults with complex behaviours is required  Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups  Demonstrated ability to provide presentations to large groups virtually or in-person  Experience working with caregivers and families  Experience in writing PSPS  Extremely knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications  Strong communication (written and oral), analytical, organizational and time management skills  Experience organizing and facilitating training  Professional demeanor is required  Current First Aid, CPR and Safety Care training are required  A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle as travel may be required  French/English bilingualism is an asset
