Description of the role

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide behavioural supports based on the individualized needs of persons supported (i.e., mental, physical, spiritual, behavioural, emotional)
• Assisting with personal care (bathing, meal preparation, assisting with personal tasks etc.)
• Administering medications
• Assisting with the development of care plans and goal development
• Completing detailed documentation
• Implement and follow behaviour support plans

Education Requirements
Qualifications: • Post-secondary diploma/degree in developmental services, or human services diploma (i.e., PSW, SSW, CYW etc.), or a minimum of 3 years combination of education and direct experience • Valid Class G driver’s licence and an excellent driving record • Valid Emergency First Aid, CPR and AED Level A Certification (must be through Red Cross or St. John’s Ambulance) • Current NVCI training (preferred) • Must be team oriented • Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) considered an asset • Autism training considered an asset
