Description of the role
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Under supervision according to the College of Psychologists of Ontario, performs behavioural consultations and assessments of clients referred to the CTRC Psychological Services Department by: investigating and evaluating the presenting behaviour problem(s) through observations and /or interviews and, when applicable, the administration of assessment tools; developing a comprehensive treatment plan; providing and explaining treatment strategy to the referring source and other involved parties; providing behavioural treatment review by acting as a behavioural treatment consultant to the persons involved in the direct implementation of the treatment plan and providing revisions according to need; or remain available to the Behaviour Therapist fulfilling this role; provide Behaviour Therapy Services as needed; implement behavioural treatment as required and directed; providing comprehensive reports according to case requirement.
2. Under supervision according to the College of Psychologists of Ontario, performs psychometric assessments of clients referred to the CTRC Psychological Services Department by: administering appropriate tests and interpreting test results; providing a better understanding of the functional level and potential of the client; providing program recommendations; disseminating findings through comprehensive reports and meeting with the referral source and other involved parties.
3. Participates as a member of the Psychological Services Department by: meeting regularly with the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor for individual case supervision when necessary; attending regular Psychological Services Staff meetings for general case discussion; attending workshops/conferences as approved and providing overview to colleagues; preparing and conducting in-service sessions for outside agencies, as relevant to case involvement; remaining informed of current trends in Psychology as related to case load; maintaining familiarity with the Ministry of Community and Social Services Standards for the Use of Behavioural Training and Treatment Procedures in Settings for individuals with developmental disabilities and other relevant literature (eg QAM), facilitating an atmosphere of professional involvement and information sharing amongst colleagues; cultivating Psychological Services professional image within the community by adhering to ethics and standards of professional conduct as set out by the College of Psychologists of Ontario and the Canadian Psychological Association.
4. Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to optimize the provision of service by: attending meetings, presenting and discussing prepared reports with colleagues, and working collaboratively with other departments as per case requirement; being aware of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and ensuring adherence at all times; performing other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements
The successful candidate for M.A. level Psychometrist must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology and be registered as a Certified Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, or be a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA/BCaBA). Graduate level Certificate or a B.A. Honors Level in Psychology may be considered. Specific background courses in psychometric testing and behaviour modification is preferred as well as having worked with individuals with a developmental disability.
