Description of the role
We are looking for the right candidates to work with some amazing people.
When a person with exceptionalities feels frustrated, mad, sad, or anxious they may not know how to express these emotions without becoming physical to themselves or those around them. They need the very best Support Workers to help them navigate these emotions and physical responses. We need people to join our team who have experience following specialized treatment plans, working with other clinical professionals and who want to be a part of the success stories of those they support.
We are currently hiring for part-time weekend shifts to provide direct support to adult individuals. Availability for both Saturday and Sunday is required.
Shifts are scheduled as 8am -4pm, 4pm- 12 am, 10am -6pm, 1pm – 9pm etc. (can be scheduled as every weekend, or every other weekend depending on your preferences) and either an awake or sleep overnight from midnight to 8am.
A Part-time Residential Counsellor will carry out all duties in accordance with the established routine of the home. You will provide direct support to adults with developmental disabilities to learn and participate in their community. You will promote and encourage their independence, choice and self-determination.

Education Requirements
• Developmental Service Worker Diploma or Certificate of Apprenticeship preferred, Social Service Worker Certificate, Child and Youth Worker, Behavioural Sciences • Current Safe Management, First Aid and Pharmacology • Minimum 1 year related experience providing support to transitional aged youth, complex needs, and autism (experience may include volunteer and school placements) • Basic computer skills • Must hold and maintain a valid G Class Driver’s License
